Position Title: Pharmaceutical IT Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical assistance to end users through various communication channels including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Oversee and uphold desktop security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Work collaboratively with IT teams to swiftly resolve technical challenges.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all support activities and ensure records are current and accurate.
  • Educate end users on new hardware and software applications, ensuring effective utilization.
  • Provide support for laboratory computers and equipment as part of end-user computing responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of desktop support experience within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems (XP, 7, 10) and software applications, particularly the MS Office suite.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with IT hardware and software, including system imaging.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting, SCCM patching, Active Directory, antivirus solutions, and Linux (preferred).
  • Expertise in Windows 10 deployment and involvement in OS migration initiatives.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and experience with ServiceNow.
  • Must be available for onsite responsibilities.
