Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team at Hitachi Energy USA INC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our presence in the western region of the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales growth plans to target portfolio and clearly articulate the value proposition of solutions.
  • Provide critical solution and industry knowledge to support, generate, and develop new sales opportunities and support the growth of short-term and long-term pipeline.
  • Meet orders targets for the Western Region of the United States.
  • Interface with account managers and other regional sales teams to develop and implement account specific strategies within new and existing customers and target markets.
  • Improve portfolio penetration across key focus customers with support of account managers and technical resources through new solutions and services.
  • Engage with EPC or end-user leaders and executives to develop relationships, understand their business and formulate business solutions to create value.
  • Work closely with Product Management and Product Marketing to enhance and continue to develop leading edge technology that will drive market adoption and better fit customer needs.
  • Engage with prospects to understand specific needs/problems and lead/contribute to the development of appropriate technical solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred). Equivalent industry experience in the Energy industry (Transmission, Distribution or Generation markets) may be substituted for education requirements.
  • 7+ years business development experience in the Electric Utilities or Industrial Markets.
  • 5+ years of solution/consultative sales experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Excellent proven customer-facing and presentation skills for technical solutions.
  • Background in selling Battery Energy Storage Solutions, Microgrids, or Substation Automation is a plus.
