About the RoleThe Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, including:
- Discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs
- Administering medications and vaccines
- Collecting specimens and performing diagnostic screening tests
- Maintaining examination rooms and documenting information into the electronic medical records system
You will work closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver high-quality patient care and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A successful completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- Hands-on professional phlebotomy experience with blood draws, etc.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to pass a proficiency exam
We also welcome applicants with:
- Certification or registration as a medical assistant
- Experience with medication and vaccine administration
- One year of medical assisting experience
- Knowledge of value-based care, including HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS patient experience
