Job Overview

The primary role of the Program Security Representative is to deliver comprehensive security support across various Special Access Programs (SAPs). This position is responsible for the ongoing analysis and management of security measures related to Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), its Supplement, and relevant Department of Defense directives.
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures aimed at protecting SAP, SCI, and collateral information in alignment with military operations.
  • Provide continuous security support, including the assessment of existing procedures to identify gaps and recommend enhancements to security protocols.
  • Identify and evaluate vulnerabilities, threats, and risks associated with testing, training, and operational functions.
  • Support the development and execution of the Operations Security program.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to contractors and subordinate facilities.
  • Conduct briefings for personnel at all levels, including government and senior civilian staff, on various security-related topics.
  • Perform and document compliance reviews of SAP facilities, including follow-up assessments and facility closures.
  • Monitor and report on corrective actions arising from compliance evaluations.
  • Ensure timely communication of critical security issues to technical and management teams.
  • Investigate any incidents of loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified or sensitive information, including conducting preliminary inquiries and damage assessments.
  • Collaborate with SAP security personnel to integrate lessons learned into the SAP security education and awareness curriculum.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) may account for up to 3 years of experience.
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) may account for up to 5 years of experience.
  • Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is limited to 5 years.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years).

Security Clearance:

  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
  • Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph examination.
