Job Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist at CHRISTUS Health, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain physical or mental functioning, or adjust to their handicaps. You will plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs in a variety of sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities.


Responsibilities:
  • Teach patients skills and techniques required for participation in activities.
  • Study and evaluate patient's reactions to the program and prepare progress reports.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy; Bachelor's degree required. Knowledgeable of the American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics and the Guide to Occupational Therapy Practice. Excellent communication skills. New graduates accepted; experience preferred. Current license by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Examiners. CPR certification.
