Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part Time Customer Experience Manager to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and leading our front-end operations to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience.
  • Front-End Operations: Lead and manage the execution of front-end operations, including cash handling, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a team of customer experience associates, providing coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Store Recovery: Maintain store recovery standards to deliver our brand promises and ensure a clean and organized store environment.
  • Omnichannel Processes: Lead the execution of omnichannel processes, including online ordering and in-store pickup.
  • Shrink and Safety: Manage and execute shrink and safety programs to minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory processes, including return to vendor and advance shipping notice activities.
  • Training and Development: Train, observe, and coach customer experience associates to achieve results and support talent development.
  • Manager on Duty: Serve as manager on duty, ensuring the store is running smoothly and making decisions in the absence of the store manager.
Requirements
  • Retail Management Experience: 1+ year of retail management experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, associates, and management.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze situations and make sound decisions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to remain standing for long periods, move throughout the store, and lift heavy boxes and access high shelves.
