POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are collaborating with a network of esteemed educational institutions seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time roles during the academic year.

JOB CLASSIFICATION:
Point Quest Group Therapeutic Services

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:
Non-Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

THERAPY SERVICES

Design and implement tailored individual, group, and classroom-based therapeutic interventions for students in alignment with their speech and language objectives as outlined in their Individual Education Plans (IEP).

Assess the effectiveness and outcomes of therapy interventions to monitor student progress and determine readiness for the conclusion of therapy services.


ASSESSMENT

Conduct independent evaluations to identify students with speech or language disorders and determine their eligibility for services, making decisions that prioritize the best interests of the student.

Formulate clinical management strategies and diagnostic statements by analyzing observations and data.

COLLABORATION
Engage and support caregivers in the evaluation and therapeutic process.

Work alongside classroom teachers and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute classroom activities aimed at enhancing students' communication skills across various educational settings.

Provide professional development opportunities in assigned schools to assist school personnel in recognizing and understanding communication challenges faced by students.
Participate in in-service training and team meetings.
Effectively communicate with colleagues, students, and parents regarding the student's therapy objectives and educational requirements.

Contribute to the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process by aiding in the interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with communication disorders in accordance with district protocols.

STUDENT & CASE MANAGEMENT
Establish and maintain a learning environment that is safe academically, emotionally, and physically.

Prepare and submit all case documentation, including evaluation data, treatment plans, clinical notes, and required billing information in compliance with company policy.

Document and maintain confidential client case notes and reports.

Keep an attendance register in accordance with the Service Page of the IEP and the Individual Service Agreement (ISA) for each student.

Adapt educational materials and tools to provide interventions that meet the individual needs of students.
Collect data on student achievements to document activities, prepare reports, and update IEP logs.

Maintain and prepare various manual and electronic materials (e.g., charts, logs, records, and reports) to document activities, provide written references, convey information, and comply with mandated requirements.

Ensure the upkeep of high and low-tech augmentative communication devices and equipment, and possess familiarity with symbol-based software.
Research resources and methodologies to address students' functional goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
Oversee the work of speech-language pathology assistants.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current, active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist, or eligibility for licensure.
DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
Proficient in computer applications and standard software.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent language and communication skills, including professional writing and telephone etiquette.
Dependability, reliability, and adaptability.
