Job Summary

Xylem I LLC is seeking a highly skilled Vegetation Management Specialist to join our team in Russellville, AR. As a key member of our utility vegetation crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient clearance of vegetation from power lines and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vegetation Identification and Assessment: Accurately identify and assess dead and dying trees affected by drought and other environmental conditions.
  • Overhead Power Line Inspection: Inspect overhead power lines for proper vegetation clearance and notify property owners of line clearance work to be performed.
  • Pre-Inspection and Planning: Perform pre-inspection in advance of tree-trimming work and prepare concise and efficient work plans for client contracted utility vegetation crews within designated territory.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Communicate daily with clients, contractors, landowners, and the public to ensure effective project execution and promote good public relations.
  • Storm and Emergency Response: Assist in storm and emergency situations and other miscellaneous line clearance projects.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Two years' experience in Vegetation Management and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Knowledge of industry-related hiring criteria, tree identification skills, ability to read maps, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, move, and maneuver 30 pounds on average and work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
