Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our Consultation Liaison Service at Kings County Hospital. As a member of our team, you will provide psychiatric consultations to patients admitted to the emergency departments and inpatient services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric consultations to patients and their physicians
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex psychiatric needs
  • Supervise residents, fellows, and medical students rotating on the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison service
  • Collaborate with Behavioral Health leadership to foster inter-departmental collaboration
  • Participate in psychiatry CL team meetings and adhere to psychiatry CL protocols
Qualifications
  • Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry
  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
  • Completed residency training in an accredited program within Psychiatry
  • License to practice medicine in the State of New York
