Key Responsibilities:
The Healthcare Access Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for our patients and visitors, embodying the essence of quality service.

This role acts as a service ambassador, establishing the benchmark for all other departments and services.


The primary duties encompass efficient and precise patient registrations, which include collecting demographic information, conducting comprehensive benefit verifications for both Outpatient and Inpatient services, calculating patient financial responsibilities for services rendered, and being cross-trained to support various non-licensed roles within the clinic. Additionally, patient education regarding benefits and securing necessary authorizations for approved services are essential functions of the Healthcare Access Coordinator.


Qualifications:

Minimum Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Minimum Work Experience:
1 to 5 years of prior experience in a Business Office setting is preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications:
None required.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in typing at least 35 words per minute is required.
