The Retail Technology Product Team oversees the systems that facilitate customer interactions and employee engagement, creating exceptional experiences in our retail outlets.

As a Product Manager within our team, you will be part of a diverse and supportive group that ensures our technology aligns with Apple's vision of empowering employees to provide the finest retail experience globally.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Merchandising, Operations, Online, and Marketing teams to implement technological solutions that enhance customer experiences and streamline business processes in our stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design solutions that support extensive cross-functional business initiatives impacting multiple systems.
  • Represent the interests of both business and technology throughout the design, development, and implementation of new technologies and systems.
  • Ensure effective coordination of funding, release timelines, status communication, issue resolution, resource alignment, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Work alongside business partners and engineering teams to identify, mobilize, and execute solutions, leading design reviews, prioritizing features, and negotiating to meet release timelines.
  • Establish product roadmaps for systems or a portfolio of systems that support business operations.
  • Clearly articulate and refine detailed requirements intended for engineering and UI design teams to develop new software.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment by respecting diverse perspectives and demonstrating a willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% (domestic and international).
Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in Product, Project, or Program Management within consumer products, retail, consulting, or SaaS environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in planning, managing, and leading complex technology projects in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment, guiding the team through issue resolution throughout the development lifecycle.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience using JIRA/Confluence for documenting business requirements.

Ability to prioritize work into Epics, User Stories, and writing Acceptance Criteria is advantageous.

Expertise in drafting detailed business requirements intended for software engineering and UI/UX design, with a proven track record of collaborating with engineering/design partners to create technology solutions.

Experience in delivering global enterprise-level employee and consumer-facing mobile and web applications, with knowledge of user experience and interactive design success methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to work with partners to clarify business challenges, identify process/user experience improvement opportunities, and advocate for business interests during the design and development of technology solutions.

Success in collaborating with software engineering partners to mitigate technical debt, introduce new technologies, and transition to new architectures.

Proven success in prioritizing features, coordinating schedules across platforms, facilitating user testing, and communicating with partners regarding roadmaps, delivery status, and change management details.

Exceptional meeting facilitation, written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.

This provides opportunities for growth as you develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $136,300 and $248,700, with actual base pay depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if they voluntarily participate in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
