Your Role and Responsibilities:
The Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and safety of our electrical systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular inspections of electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and components to ensure compliance with safety standards and to identify potential hazards.
- Diagnosing malfunctions in electrical systems and developing effective maintenance or repair strategies.
- Performing repairs on electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and related components to maintain optimal performance.
- Utilizing testing instruments such as voltmeters and oscilloscopes to verify system safety and compatibility.
- Interpreting blueprints to facilitate accurate service and repairs of electrical installations.
- Employing PLC software to swiftly address equipment outages and conveyor issues.
- Advising on the longevity of electrical components and recommending timely replacements to mitigate risks.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of all maintenance and repair activities, including inventory management of supplies.
- Ensuring that routine maintenance is conducted on a scheduled basis to prevent complex issues and manage costs effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and Expertise:
Ideal candidates will have:
- Relevant electrician certifications.
- Experience with PLCs and control systems.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70.
