Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Mattel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the electrical equipment at our facility remains functional, safe, and up to code. This includes inspecting equipment, determining reasons for malfunctions, and creating maintenance or repair plans to solve problems. The ideal candidate will have relevant electrician certifications, experience with PLCs and control equipment, and a proven track record of problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code.
- Determine reasons for malfunctions and create maintenance or repair plans.
- Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment, and other components.
- Test systems using devices such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters.
- Review blueprints to understand wiring placement or equipment working.
- Utilize PLC software/programs to diagnose conveyor and equipment outages.
- Provide equipment lifespan suggestions and advise on replacement.
- Keep records of maintenance and repair work, including supplies ordered and used.
Requirements
- Relevant electrician certifications.
- Experience with PLCs and control equipment.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70.

Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $35.00-$40.00 per hour, based on the job requirements and location. This range is indicative of the hiring range and will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills, and experience.
