Pediatric Nurse Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team at The Pediatric Connection. As a Pediatric Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to medically fragile children in their homes, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one care to pediatric patients in their homes, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide wound care as needed.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document patient progress, maintaining accurate and detailed records.

Requirements:

  • RN or LPN license to practice in the state of employment.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients, preferably in a home health setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move patients as needed, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
