Senior eCommerce Java Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior eCommerce Java Developer to join our team at Emerald Resource Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with a talented team, and drive innovation within the company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java/J2EE technologies, experience with version control systems, command-line tools, and agile methodologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and providing support for eCommerce applications.

Estimated Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality eCommerce applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan new features, and implement approved architecture designs.
  • Maintain and modify existing applications, making approved changes by amending application documentation, developing detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
  • Provide support for critical application problems and issues, as well as act as a Subject Matter Expert in the discovery and investigation of critical production problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years IT experience, with 5+ years of web application development experience in a Java/J2EE environment.
  • 3+ years of object-oriented analysis and design, experience working with customers to build and formulate business requirements, and experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience with version control systems such as git, mercurial, or subversion, command-line tools, SOAP and/or RESTful web services, HCL Commerce or IBM Websphere Commerce platforms, microservices, Spring or Spring Boot framework, APIs, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), virtual machines, containerization, unit tests, automated testing, and automated build scripts.
