The Opportunity

We are seeking an MRP Controller to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. As an MRP Controller, you will be responsible for purchasing non-stock items, processing goods receipts, and coordinating logistics. You will work closely with the maintenance department, procurement team, and suppliers to ensure that all materials are received on time and in the correct quantities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing production schedules and inventory levels
  • Forecasting material requirements to ensure optimal stock levels
  • Collaborating with procurement and production teams to streamline operations
  • Utilizing MRP systems for effective inventory management
  • Submitting new material number requests and helping with overall organization and efficiency of the storeroom
  • Obtaining quotes and placing orders for non-stock materials, emergency items, and other supplies
  • Following up on delivery status and working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
  • Running MRP for the Dayton plant twice a week and coordinating all trucks delivering material to the plant
  • Reviewing old material and following up with users where the parts need to go
  • Receiving and delivering material to the storeroom keeper and other vendors
  • Maintaining records and documentation on repairable items and sending out repairable parts to service providers
  • Processing storeroom tickets and requisitions and doing bin-to-bin material transfers when needed
  • Processing goods receipts for parts and raw materials and scheduling vendors for oil removal and scrap motor pick-ups
  • Processing workflow items to ensure proper billing and reviewing all summary billing for suppliers
About You

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with experience in logistics and inventory management. You should have a strong understanding of SAP and be able to work effectively with computers and other technology. You should also have good communication skills and be able to work well with others.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Operation of sit-down fork trucks
  • Logistics knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of SAP and ability to work with computers
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
