Position Overview

Hope For Youth is in search of a Licensed Therapist proficient in the Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) approach. Comprehensive training in MDFT will be provided. The Therapist will engage with clients primarily through our Court Programs. This role necessitates regular home visits to clients within the community.

As a nonprofit organization dedicated to child welfare services for over 50 years, Hope For Youth is committed to fostering positive outcomes for children, adolescents, and families. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful clinical work that directly impacts the growth and development of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 65% Direct therapeutic engagement with clients, including transportation.
  • 20% Documentation of cases, report writing, and participation in case-related meetings.
  • 15% Attendance at staff meetings, supervision, and training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT license.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with children or adolescents.
  • A valid NYS Driver's License in good standing.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and electronic record management.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for regular client visits and transportation.
  • Strong writing skills and effective time management abilities.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings and potential weekends.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies via agency-provided mobile devices or internet technologies.
  • Physical capabilities to perform tasks such as reading/writing reports, standing for extended periods, and driving.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $60K-$64K annually, based on a 35-hour work week with flexible hours.
