Key Responsibilities:
Fosters a positive work atmosphere and embodies the vision, mission, and values of Blanchard Machinery Company.

Performs all duties in a safe manner, advocating for a secure and healthy work environment.

Responds to incoming calls promptly, assisting customers with inquiries in a courteous manner.

Greets counter customers immediately upon arrival, even when engaged with another customer on the phone.

Offers customers various replacement part options when available, including remanufactured or pre-owned items.

Inspects returned parts for defects and processes exchanges or credits as necessary.


Spends approximately 50% of the workday during non-peak hours making outbound calls to customers based on market intelligence to support the growth objectives of the parts department.

Documents and tracks relevant customer accounts with inquiries, promotions, and purchases.

Accurately identifies, locates, and procures required items using parts catalogs, online resources, and the CAT ordering system.

Maintains proficiency in all parts information systems including DBS, SIS, WMS, etc.

Ensures timely delivery of the correct parts to technicians and customers.

Processes merchandise transactions and updates inventory control systems accordingly.

Compares invoices to requisitions to confirm the quality and quantity of received merchandise.

Manages cash drawer, completes various documentation, and keeps the workspace organized.

Assists in the warehouse or other areas as needed.

Willingness to work overtime when required.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

1-3 years of experience in customer service is required.

1-3 years of counter sales experience in a related field is preferred.

Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in computer applications with the ability to learn new software and systems.

Strong listening skills with the ability to ask insightful questions to understand concerns and provide effective solutions.

Demonstrates a strong work ethic and self-motivation. Capable of managing multiple tasks and adapting to changes effectively.


Must exhibit a professional and friendly demeanor, capable of quickly establishing rapport with customers over the phone.

Commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in service.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

A solid mechanical aptitude or understanding of assembly and operational processes is essential.

Working Conditions

The role primarily requires the employee to work indoors throughout the year.

Job duties involve standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, and lifting.

Visual acuity, reading, writing, and physical presence at the job site are necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.

Utilization of computers and other technological tools is essential for completing job tasks.
