Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-time Biology Professor to join our team at Clark College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Biology classes, utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct Biology classes, utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
  • Participate in decision-making processes by taking part in department and college committees.
  • Pursue professional development to enhance teaching and learning techniques.
  • Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
  • Effectively assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in relevant department activities that support the teaching and learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Biology or a closely related field (with significant graduate coursework in biology) or a closely related field.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team.
Working Conditions

The Part-time Biology Professor will be required to teach in-person in the daytime or evening hours. The lecture rate is $90.47 per hour and the lab rate is $77.27 per hour.
