About the Role

Limbach Facility Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to our engineering team
  • Develop and maintain trusted advisor status with clients
  • Develop smart technical solutions with ROI
  • Communicate code compliance and prioritize critical gaps in capital planning
  • Build, develop, and lead a local engineering team
  • Participate in local industry functions and network with local A/E talent
  • Oversee the production and distribution of design document deliverables

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 10-15 years of MEP engineering experience, with 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Subject matter expert in one or more areas of MEP engineering
  • Strong grasp of fundamental engineering principles, analysis, calculations, systems, and local building codes and standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered professional engineer
  • 15+ years of design/engineering experience

Work Environment:

  • This position operates primarily in an office environment
  • Work duties may also necessitate visits to/walk throughs of local job sites

Physical Demands:

  • This is considered a sedentary position
  • Exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally
