Pathology Operations Leader

Position Overview:
The Pathology Operations Leader at Springtide Inc. works closely with the Vice President of Operations to ensure effective management and seamless operations within the Pathology Department. This role is essential in upholding the company's standards and objectives while overseeing daily activities to guarantee timely and cost-efficient services for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the VP of Operations to assess personnel and equipment needs, monitoring budget variances continuously.
- Maintain and update procedure manuals for all standard operating procedures across Pathology divisions.
- Oversee administrative and personnel-related functions, including scheduling, conflict resolution, and staff training.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards set by relevant authorities.
- Utilize independent judgment and creativity to make informed decisions and complete projects promptly.
- Evaluate staffing levels and educational needs, ensuring competency among all employees.
- Communicate effectively to develop and implement departmental policies and objectives.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement and adapt to organizational changes.
- Work with procurement to optimize vendor contracts and laboratory equipment.
- Support the Billing Department to minimize claim rejections and ensure accurate reimbursements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a clinical laboratory environment, with at least three years in a supervisory role.
- Familiarity with laboratory operations, instrumentation, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Proficient in computer applications, including laboratory information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and foster collaborative relationships.
