Job Opportunity

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Life Counselor to join our team at Visions Youth Treatment Center in Bellingham, WA.

About the Role:

This is an entry-level position that forms part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, providing direct services to patients in a residential setting. The successful candidate will support the Chemical Dependency Professional/Trainee in providing and referring clients to other treatment/service programs as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor clients, log all activities, and provide support during graveyard shift activities.
  • Assist counselors with groups, AA meetings, and monitoring clients during quiet time and housework.
  • Identify and categorize patient needs, provide physical care, and complete daily logging and reporting tasks.

Requirements:

  • AA in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience working with high-risk or in treatment patient care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization, and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and medical software is a plus.
