Job Title: Mobile Diesel Mechanic

At CRH, we are a leading supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready mixed concrete, and paving and construction services in Texas. We are seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Senior Mechanic, the Mobile Diesel Mechanic will perform repairs on mobile equipment, including ready mix trucks, front end loaders, and trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, as well as experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in mobile equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire rotations
  • Assist Senior Mechanic with complex repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Operate mobile equipment as needed
  • Deliver technical advice to Ready Mix Truck Drivers and other mobile equipment operators
  • Maintain parts inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Participate in the shop safety program and conduct tailgate safety meetings
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years Mobile Equipment Maintenance Experience
  • Commercial Driver License (CDL) and safe driving record
  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, transmissions, brakes, drivelines and other automotive systems
  • Basic welding skills
  • Ability to read and write in English
