Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diet history and food preference assessments upon guest admission.
  • Design, implement, and manage menus tailored to the needs of the guest population.
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness adheres to State and Federal regulations.
  • Oversee purchasing within the dietary department while adhering to the facility's budget.
  • Manage all facets of kitchen operations, including procurement, sanitation, scheduling, training, talent development, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to recognize and accommodate guests' dietary choices, preferences, and routines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation related to dietary aspects of guest care plans.

Qualifications

  • Certified Dietary Manager Certification or current enrollment in an approved certification course.
  • ServSafe Certification required within 90 days of employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Preferred: Two years of supervised food service experience in an institutional environment focused on planning, preparing, and serving regular and therapeutic diets.
