Advanced Practice Provider

UVA Health is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join its Inpatient Endocrinology team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing endocrine disorders for inpatients across multiple service lines at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in endocrinology and experience working in an inpatient setting. You will be expected to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide patient education on disease management and treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history and physical examinations of patients with endocrine disorders.
- Manage acute and chronic endocrine conditions, predominantly diabetes mellitus, but also thyroid, adrenal, and other metabolic disorders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with endocrinologists, members of the patient's primary team, and other healthcare providers.
- Provide patient education on disease management, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree as an Advance Practice Provider - Nurse Practitioner or as an Advance Practice Provider - Physician Assistant.
- One to two years minimum experience as an Advanced Practice Provider Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.
- License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) as set forth by the state of Virginia.
