Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Systems Director to lead our global Systems COE. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning for the department, providing leadership in the development of new ideas, products, processes, and techniques. The candidate will frequently manage an organization and a budget in excess of $5 million dollars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a global Systems COE comprising of Reliability & Compliance COE, Human Factors COE, and Lead System Integrators COE with team members based in USA, India, and Italy.
  • Ensure that all products in the portfolio are aligned and compliant to all FDA and other country standards and regulations.
  • Work with engineering, medical, and regulatory teams for various testing needed for project milestones.
  • Provide strategic planning leadership by setting strategies and priorities based upon anticipation of program deliverables.
  • Create and communicate global vision of the organization's contribution to the business unit/division goals, ensuring industry leadership.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of internal and external resources to meet business objectives.
  • Direct the development and implementation of new product/process requiring new technologies.
  • Coordinate and direct activities of teams and individual contributors to ensure market dominance in appropriate product lines.
  • Create and maintain an environment where team members experience personal and professional growth and become a more self-directed team.
Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess strong knowledge of engineering disciplines and solid knowledge of related disciplines and experience of implementing in the medical industry. The candidate must also have the ability to establish long-range business plans which anticipate global trends, technical, economic, and socio-political conditions.

The candidate must demonstrate understanding of business drivers, customer needs, and global dynamics to create viable strategic plans. A proven track record of management/leadership effectiveness is required. The candidate must also possess strong ability to negotiate and maximize effectiveness of resources and influence others internally and externally.

A BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline, with advanced technical degree or equivalent experience, is required. 12 or more years of relevant technical experience and minimum 5+ years of leading teams and managers are also required.

At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $184,000 - $253,000 annually.
