Assembly Technician

The Assembly Technician at Cook Medical is responsible for performing various tasks related to the fabrication, assembly, and packaging of gastrointestinal medical devices. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate raw materials into specified products using mechanical and/or manual techniques
- Inspect products for quality and workability
- Perform various inspections and testing as required
- Complete necessary documentation
- Operate computer systems
- Deliver products to designated areas
- Perform daily and weekly clean-up duties
- Assist in the introduction of new or improved products into production
- Interact with other departments, support groups, engineers, vendors, and plant visitors
- Assist in training new employees
- Maintain regular attendance and meet company quality and quantity standards
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
- Good manual dexterity and visual acuity to work with small parts
- Ability to frequently move around and sit in a controlled environment
- Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Occasional bending, stooping, and twisting
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 10lbs and co-carry up to 35lbs
- Ability to perform fine manipulation with hands
