Job Summary

Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Specialist to join our team. As a Fitness Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and developing individual fitness programs for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instructing fitness classes for senior populations with varying abilities.
  • Performing fitness orientations for residents.
  • Providing one-on-one personal training sessions, motivation, and consulting.
  • Promoting and assisting in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and physical independence for older adult populations.
  • Maintaining a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for residents throughout the fitness centers and aquatics center.
  • Assisting with coordination and implementation of wellness/fitness programming.
  • Prescribing an appropriate exercise program, including flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular training with the ability to work with high-risk populations.
  • Performing administrative tasks associated with facility operations.
  • Building strong relationships with residents and staff, encouraging them to be physically active.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Health Education or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
  • Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1-year related work experience.
