Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough and ongoing assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patients' unique needs and goals.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing wound care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and promote continuity of care.
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and unit activities.
Requirements:
  • One year of recent experience in a Neonatal Level III nursery or completion of a KP NICU Training Program.
  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse License (California).
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a Maternal Child Health/Family Centered Care area.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical record systems and ability to navigate in a windows environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
