Job Description

At Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP, we are committed to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that improve the world. We are seeking a skilled Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee water/wastewater projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Develop and implement technical approaches for project proposals, working closely with clients to understand their needs.
  • Lead project planning efforts, including procurement, negotiation, and execution, while monitoring project status and controlling execution to achieve project goals.
  • Participate in construction phase management, including pre-bid conferences, interpretations, and post-bid evaluations, as well as contract preparation.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring accurate client billings and successful project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in the Commonwealth of Virginia or ability to become registered through comity from another state within 6 months.
  • 4-10 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater system planning, design, and construction management.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • NASSCO experience is a plus.
