Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble steel joist components for final welding, adhering to corporate mission, values, and departmental objectives.
  • Set up jigs, read and interpret shop drawings to ensure accurate work.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by aligning parts, tack welding or clamping as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor, including cleaning and metal scrap removal.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, with a preference for the steel industry.
  • Ability to stand continuously, walk, use hands and fingers to handle objects, and frequently reach overhead.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs or more and working in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
  • Work near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.
  • Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and noise in the work environment.
