Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Project Management Specialist to contribute to a Critical Infrastructure Program. The selected candidate will oversee Mission-Critical Facility Design and Construction initiatives for a Navy Client. Responsibilities include:

  • Driving efforts to meet project objectives effectively.
  • Serving as a technical liaison with external vendors.
  • Assisting in the proposal development process and collaborating with the Pricing Department as necessary.
  • Managing all aspects of project budgeting.
  • Creating Quality Assurance Programs for products and services.
  • Developing Staffing Plans that outline skill and labor requirements for contract operations.
  • Participating in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes.
  • Overseeing the performance of smaller technical projects or segments of larger programs in alignment with contract specifications and company policies.
  • Directing and supervising all resources involved in project assignments.
  • Guiding the technical direction of projects through design, implementation, and testing phases.
  • Facilitating follow-on business opportunities related to assigned projects and supporting new business development efforts.
  • Managing the comprehensive development and execution of assigned projects, serving as the primary contact.
  • Taking projects from initial concept through to final execution.
  • Engaging with all stakeholders impacted by the project, including end users and client services.
  • Defining project scope and objectives clearly.
  • Creating detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource allocations, and status updates.
  • Conducting project meetings and ensuring thorough tracking and analysis.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards and reviewing project deliverables.
  • Coordinating vendor tasks and monitoring vendor outputs.
  • Providing technical and analytical support to the project team.
  • Identifying and addressing project-related challenges proactively.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an active DoD Top Secret security clearance is required.
  • Experience in supervising, coordinating, and leading assigned staff.
  • Direct supervision of technical staff and entry-level professionals.
  • Ability to estimate staffing needs, assign tasks, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) or a Master's degree with 6 - 8 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various technologies and systems relevant to the position.
Travel Requirements
  • Possession of an active Passport.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, both domestically and internationally.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
Work Environment

Cambridge International Systems adheres to vaccination requirements for Temporary Duty Station (TDY) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) assignments. The office environment includes:

  • Ability to work in an office setting, primarily seated at a desk and using a computer.
  • Comfortable working conditions with flexibility in sitting, walking, and standing.
  • Potential for short-distance travel to various offices and conference rooms.
