Clinical Assistant Professor/Infectious Disease Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Clinical Assistant Professor/Infectious Disease Specialist at Upstate University Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with a diverse range of infectious diseases. Your duties will include:

  • Providing in-patient and out-patient ID consultation services to patients and healthcare teams
  • Executing Infection Control and Antibiotic Stewardship policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff
  • Teaching and mentoring medical students, interns, residents, and fellows in the field of infectious diseases

Requirements:

  • MD/DO degree with Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Infectious Diseases
  • New York State medical license or eligibility

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical research experience in infectious diseases
  • Experience as an independent HIV/ID clinician and as an attending physician supervising and teaching residents and students
  • Demonstrated research and academic productivity

Work Environment:

  • Monday through Friday daytime hours with rotating on-call shifts

Compensation:

  • Salary range dependent on qualifications and experience
