As a Home Health Aide, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist to provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding. You will also be responsible for observing patients, reporting changes, and documenting care provided.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
- Observe patients, report changes, and document care provided
- Assist patients with toileting activities and keep their living area clean and orderly
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding patients, if necessary
- Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, as ordered
- Assist patients with ambulation and exercise, as per the plan of care
- Perform range of motion and other simple procedures, as an extensional therapy service, as ordered
- Assist patients with self-administration of medication
- Meet safety needs of patients and use equipment safely and properly
- Meets training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization requirements and is in good working order
