Job Title: Veterinary Patient Care Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our veterinary hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between all departments of the veterinary hospital, working closely with doctors to facilitate patient care.
  • Assist doctors with client communications, exams, initial diagnostics, and approval, as well as updating medical records and ensuring proper orders and charges are entered into treatment sheets.
  • Use technician skills to assist doctors with patient evaluation, workup, treatments, admission, and procedures.
  • Assist in onboarding new doctors, integration of relief doctors, and provide efficiency with good communication to maximize the volume of clients and quality of care to patients.
  • Maintain a positive work environment, work well under pressure, and multitask effectively.
  • Respect clients and team members, and employ stellar customer service.
  • Use proper medical terminology, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and inventory management.
  • Perform patient restraint, obtain patient history from owners, measure and record patient vital parameters, and maintain Asepsis and sterility in necessary situations.
  • Feed and walk animals, maintain a stocked work environment, and perform phlebotomy, intravenous catheter placement, and other medical procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school or equivalent (required years experience as a Veterinary Technician).
  • RVT, LVT, CVT preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical math, ability to convert and gather medications, and administer medications (IV, IM, SQ, PO).
  • Participate in patient rounds and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
