Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to work in our laboratory setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and processing laboratory specimens, performing various laboratory tests, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process laboratory specimens, ensuring proper identification and handling.
  • Perform various laboratory tests, including blood and urine analysis, and maintain accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and accurate testing.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in medical laboratory technology preferred.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a medical laboratory technician role.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
