Job Summary

Surgical Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Solutions Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operating room team, you will provide exceptional support services to surgeons and OR staff, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Setup: Ensure video equipment is functioning properly, place monitors and equipment according to surgeon's preference, and maintain a sterile field.
  • Intra-Operative Support: Provide technical and customer support during procedures, ensuring necessary equipment is plugged in and functioning properly, and addressing any supply issues or requests.
  • Post-Operative Turnover: Gather and dispose of garbage/waste, breakdown tables as needed, mop room as needed, and gather instruments and equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Identify damaged or worn instrumentation for repair or replacement, troubleshoot malfunctioning scopes and equipment, and maintain high standards for decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma/GED required; some college preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) for certified states or must obtain CRCST certification within 90 days of employment for non-certified states.
  • Experience: One year OR experience preferred; 2-5 years face-to-face customer service experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to build and maintain strong rapport with hospital teams, and experience with Microsoft Suite.
Work Environment

Surgical Solutions, LLC is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week operation with a fast-paced atmosphere. You will be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, various chemical disinfectants, and infectious materials. Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Physical Demands

The position requires the ability to turn, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, reach, push, pull, maneuver in tight spaces, and side-to-side turning of neck. Ability to maneuver heavy equipment, lift, carry, and balance items weighing up to 50 pounds individually or additional weight with assistance.
