Shannon & Wilson is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist to join our team. As an Environmental Scientist, you will play a key role in providing technical expertise and support to our clients in the fields of environmental and natural resource management.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and other technical experts to communicate complex ideas and develop effective solutions.
- Review and analyze technical reports and proposals, providing recommendations for revisions and improvements.
- Design and implement field exploration, testing, and instrumentation programs to collect and analyze environmental data.
- Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to identify potential environmental hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Interpret and summarize environmental data, preparing reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Support business development and marketing activities, including the preparation of proposals and presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrology, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Natural Science, or other Physical Science degree; Master's degree preferred.
- 0-6 years of experience in environmental science or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training and certification.
- Knowledge of federal regulations, including RCRA, CERCLA, and OSHA.
- Experience with environmental remediation technologies and hazardous waste management.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in gINT, Access, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD.

Typically, an Environmental Scientist with the required qualifications and experience would be placed at a Shannon & Wilson Professional I, II, III, or IV level, depending on the individual's skills and background.
