JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective
Oversee the receipt, documentation, and tracking of inventory items. Communicate effectively with the Inventory Manager regarding any issues or updates related to merchandise. Adapt to shifting priorities and requirements as needed. Compensation begins at $17-$18 per hour, based on experience.

Essential Functions

  1. Assist the Inventory Supervisor as needed.
  2. Inspect contents and verify against records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to ensure accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
  3. Cross-check merchandise invoices with received items to confirm shipment correctness.
  4. Document shipment details, including weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting and recordkeeping.
  5. Determine appropriate shipping methods for materials, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  6. Deliver or route materials to various departments.
  7. Package, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare items for shipping.
  8. Communicate with relevant personnel to resolve issues such as damages, shortages, or noncompliance with specifications.
  9. Request and store shipping materials and supplies as necessary.
  10. Calculate amounts related to space availability, shipping, or storage.
  11. Maintain proper stock levels in inventory.
  12. Understand vendor warranty and returns policies.
  13. Date and rotate products as required.
  14. Clean and organize the inventory storage area.
  15. Conduct physical inventory assessments of the storage area.
  16. Reorganize inventory within the market as needed.
  17. Assist with the Returns Authorization process.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This role is situated in a retail environment.

Physical Demands

Must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to stand for extended periods.

This is a physically active role.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time role. Standard working days and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During special device launches, evening and weekend work may be required.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Prior experience in retail.
