Radiologic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
The Radiologic Imaging Specialist is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays and computed tomography. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide X-ray, diagnostic ultrasound, and CT services to patients.
- Position patients for radiological procedures and adjust immobilization devices as needed.
- Operate imaging equipment and modify exposure factors to achieve optimal results.
- Explain treatment options and answer patient questions in a clear and concise manner.
- Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
- Follow infection-control policies and protocols to protect patients and employees.
- Administer first aid and use emergency equipment as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Radiology Technician, including 6 months within the last year.
- Unrestricted license or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Experience working on a military site as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education:
- Completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate, or associate degree.
- U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school training certification (4R0X1, 68P, HM-8451) may also fulfill this requirement.
Physical Requirements:
- Meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Valid US Passport with at least 6 months before expiration date.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
