About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to lead and manage all aspects of quality assurance within our cabinet manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive quality control processes and procedures to ensure the consistent production of high-quality cabinetry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control processes and procedures to ensure the consistent production of high-quality cabinetry
  • Establish and maintain quality standards, specifications, and inspection criteria for raw materials, components, and finished products
  • Lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to quality standards and objectives
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality requirements
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, nonconformities, and customer complaints in a timely and effective manner, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to address quality-related challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, analyzing data trends and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, conducting supplier audits and evaluations to ensure the quality and reliability of incoming materials and components
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality management, incorporating relevant updates and advancements into our quality assurance processes
  • Promote a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization, fostering teamwork, communication, and a commitment to excellence among all employees
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality management in a manufacturing environment with a focus on woodworking or cabinetry production
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO standards
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team of quality professionals
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and quality auditing processes
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques for quality improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve measurable results
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation is a plus
