Overview of the Position

ASML US unites innovative thinkers in science and technology to create lithography systems essential for manufacturing advanced microchips. Our machines empower leading chip manufacturers to enhance microchip functionality while minimizing size, contributing to the development of compact and efficient consumer electronics. With our headquarters in Veldhoven, Netherlands, we operate 18 offices across the United States, including key locations in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves the installation, qualification, repair, and upkeep of ASML systems at client sites, ensuring effective knowledge transfer to customers.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Installing equipment at customer locations, including systems with new features; unloading components, inspecting for damage, assembling, aligning, and testing.
  • Assessing applicability, accuracy, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Diagnosing issues and executing necessary repairs.
  • Promptly escalating problems to appropriate support resources when required.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, customers, and field support to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Maintaining and optimizing equipment daily to enhance performance and prevent malfunctions.
  • Training customers on the operation and routine maintenance of equipment.
  • Providing professional assistance and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Serving as a resource for users regarding routine malfunctions.
  • Advising users on corrective actions for malfunctions and suggesting procedural changes.
  • Conducting administrative tasks, including pass-downs, work orders, field service reports, system problem reports, and monthly reports. Preparing independent technical reports.
  • Offering support and guidance to less experienced ASML personnel as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a BS degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience, along with mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, semiconductor processes, and relevant software.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Ability to train and mentor engineers and customer personnel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
