Principal Service Solutions is hiring a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for servicing and maintaining Metrology and Analysis Systems in a Semiconductor fab environment. Help us create innovative solutions that drive efficiency and unleash the power of the high-tech workforce around the world.This is a full-time position with full benefits Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays.Pay: $30 -$35 hr.Job DescriptionPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESComplete assigned On the Job Training (OJT) with the goal of instrument certificationProtect, manage, and maintain company property (i.e., traveling inventory, company care, test equipment, tools, etc.) in accordance with department policy/procedureAnswer service calls and promptly return messages from customers in a manner meeting service department policy/practice expectationsMaintain appropriate records of all work performed and training receivedComplete departmental and customer paperwork timely and with high qualityComplete assigned formal training with a grade of 75% or higher on all testsComply and adhere to company policiesPortray professionalism and pride in appearance while conforming to policyProvide a positive attitude to all employees and customersOther duties as assignedEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSAS degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experienceEXPERIENCE and TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSExperience using digital volt meters, oscilloscopes, hand tools, and computersMust have and retain valid driver's license in resident State and be insurable by our insurance companyMust be eligible for and receive company credit cardWillingness to relocate and/or travelKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITIES REQUIREMENTSAbility to effectively communicate information to customers and management regarding service activities and schedulesAbility to follow precise instructionAbility to perform selected routine service calls (preventive maintenance and basic emergency service) on one or more models of a product line (measured by instrument certification)Ability to install and qualify a systemAbility to work from schematics using various test equipment, mathematical calculation, and instrumentationKnowledge of analog and digital circuitryAbility to read blueprints and electrical schematicsBasic knowledge and understanding of physics and chemistryDemonstrate strong work ethicDemonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with people at all level within and outside of the companyAbility to drive an automobileAbility to see small objects within a confined areaAbility to identify and distinguish color-codesAbility to quickly transport from location to location (i.e., air, car, etc.)Ability to transport parts and toolbox from car to equipment siteAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Hand-eye coordination at a level to support a range of activities from very fine (delicate) to large, leveraged type itemAbility to hear audible noises
