Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Scotland County Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing a variety of laboratory tests.

Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests in hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, coagulation, therapeutic drug monitoring, non-syphilis serology, and urinalysis.
  • Collect and process specimens for testing, including phlebotomy and finger or heel punctures.
  • Apply sound principles, theories, and techniques of medical technology to produce reliable results.
  • Work under the direction of the Laboratory Manager to ensure accurate and timely test results.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent and completion of an accredited Laboratory certification program or a BA in science or biology.
  • Qualification under one of the governing bodies of Laboratory to perform High Complexity tests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a rotating shift schedule. The ideal candidate will be able to commute to Memphis, MO and relocate to the area before starting work.
