Position Summary: The Electrical Systems Testing Specialist will be instrumental in conducting thorough inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems. This role encompasses working with various electrical apparatus, including breakers, transformers, switches, and motor control centers, both in field settings and workshop environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing and Commissioning: Execute acceptance and maintenance testing on electrical power distribution systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing, analyzing results to assess equipment condition and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Utilize advanced electrical testing instruments proficiently, including insulation resistance testers and relay test sets.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing procedures and results, ensuring accuracy from project initiation to completion.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating efforts both onsite and in-house while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Participate in emergency on-call duties, responding promptly to customer emergencies as required.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in electronics installation and maintenance across various systems.
  • Ability to interpret trade drawings, including architectural and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as NETA, NEC, and NFPA regulations.
  • Preferred certifications include NETA level III or IV, along with OEM certified field service training.
