Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ascension Franklin in Franklin, WI. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to provide high-quality images for radiologists and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate cameras to detect and map radioactive drugs in patients' bodies to create diagnostic images.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately to ensure high-quality images.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized department.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
