Job Summary:

Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to create high-quality images for radiologists and physicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation safety procedures and guidelines, as well as excellent communication skills to ensure accurate patient data and image submission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to create high-quality images.
  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.

Requirements:

  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech or Radiologic Technologist certification from NMTCB or ARRT.
  • State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree.
