Job Title: Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Brevard Public Schools.

Job Summary:

The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and positive environment at our school site. This includes performing routine housekeeping tasks, domestic duties, and grounds work.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general maintenance services to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
  • Operate maintenance equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and mops
  • Assist with grounds work, including lawn care and landscaping
  • Follow established protocols for chemical use and disposal
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Florida Driver License
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to perform heavy manual work
Working Conditions:

This is a heavy manual work position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy objects. The Custodian will be required to work in a variety of settings, including schools and other buildings.
