Janitorial Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Brevard Public Schools. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and positive environment at our school site.

• Provide exceptional housekeeping and maintenance services to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Operate and maintain various maintenance equipment and tools
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing tasks, including floors, surfaces, and restrooms
• Assist with grounds maintenance, including landscaping and trash removal
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Florida Driver License
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

This is a heavy manual work position that requires physical ability to maintain a heavy work schedule over the normal workday. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
