Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist Software Engineer to join our team at BlueLightAI. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in guiding the product architecture and design for our AI model analysis and improvement tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our engineering team to design and develop cutting-edge AI model analysis and improvement tools
  • Develop and maintain data/machine learning-focused libraries in Python, ensuring seamless integration with standard ML workflows
  • Mentor data scientists in developing software engineering skills, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Regularly communicate with the engineering team to ensure alignment and progress towards project goals

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, data science, machine learning, or related roles, with a strong background in developing and debugging ML/AI models
  • Significant experience developing and maintaining data/machine learning-focused libraries in Python, with a deep understanding of the Jupyter ecosystem and its underlying technologies
  • Strong Python engineering skills, with the ability to learn new mathematical or statistical concepts and implement them in production code
  • Ability to work flexibly and efficiently in a fast-paced startup environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related field, with additional education welcome
  • Familiarity with the standard Python data science/machine learning ecosystem, including Pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, Jupyter, PyTorch/TensorFlow
